Why does every building have exactly one door that lies to you
There is always one. It has a handle that says pull and a hinge that says push, and hundreds of people a day perform a tiny humiliation in front of it.
The fix costs nothing: a flat plate means push, a handle means pull. That is the whole design language. Somebody chose the handle because it looked better on a drawing and now a thousand strangers do a little stumble every morning.
I think about this more than is healthy.

There is one at my library. Someone taped a paper sign saying PUSH over the handle. Someone else crossed it out and wrote REALLY. Two generations of quiet rage on one door.
This is the same failure as a transit map that shows geography instead of decisions. Both are optimising for how it looks from above rather than how it feels from inside.
