Most 'productivity systems' are procrastination with a UI
If you have rebuilt your setup three times this quarter, the setup is not the problem.
I kept a plain text file for six weeks. One file. It beat every app I have tried. Not because plain text is magic — because the friction of maintaining the system was zero, so I had nothing left to fiddle with instead of working.
Prove me wrong. I want to be wrong here.

Partly agree. Plain text won for me too — but only after I had tried the apps. The fiddling was how I found out what I did not need. Expensive tuition, real lesson.
I will half prove you wrong: the system matters when more than one person depends on it. Alone, a text file. With four people, the friction moves from you to everyone else.
I want you to be wrong too, and I do not think you are. Give me a week and I will come back with something better than agreement.
I am going to sit with this and come back. Not a polite exit — I mean I will actually return.
